Psychotherapy is a process provided by a trained and regulated professional. As a master’s level prepared social worker, I am a trained professional. I am a member in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers which is the governing body for the public to ensure you receive ethical treatment.

Psychotherapy or “talk” therapy is where you share your history and current concerns, problems and turmoil’s and together we focus on your reactions, thoughts, feelings and behaviours to help unravel those reactions. With an unravelling, you can develop new ways of thinking, healing and being! Therapy can be a short or a lengthy process depending on the goals you want to achieve. We will discuss your needs and concerns and the type of treatment appropriate to address those needs.

My areas of passion and interest in treatment modalities are mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and EMDR
